Firestone High School (FHS), a campus for Academic Excellence and Home of the Akron School of the Arts, offers students a stunning array of programs. The International Baccalaureate (IB) program features a rigorous, college-level curriculum for the most educationally motivated students in the Akron area. A comprehensive make-up of Advanced Placement courses is offered, resulting in many possibilities for an excellent college-level education. FHS is also known and praised for The Akron School of Arts. A variety of creative arts, including Theatre Arts, Visual Arts, and Performing Arts, offer a student an excellent education in the arts and a great way to show off their creativity. In addition to all of this, FHS offers several Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs, designed to prepare students for occupations in the future. CTE programs at Firestone include Administrative Office Technology (AOT), Business Finance, Information Technology (IT), Marketing Education (ME) and Project Lead the Way (PLTW). Each of these programs have Chapters in well known Career Tech Student Organizations (CTSO) such as Business Professionals of America (BPA) and Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA)
